Catholic Colleges We Recommend for Your
Investigation
Choosing the right college to attend is a
difficult decision. In the midst of the
college brochures flooding your mailbox this
time of year, we’ve put together a list of
Catholic colleges that we recommend for your
investigation. These colleges made our list
for their faithfulness to Christ and the
teachings of the Catholic Church, as well as
their strong academic, social, and spiritual
offerings to the student.
Aquinas College
4210 Harding Road
Nashville, TN 37205

Aquinas College in Nashville is a four-year
Catholic liberal arts college offering 8
different degree programs. This too-little
known fully-accredited Catholic College is a
jewel of the south. Their Teacher Education
program boasts a 100% placement rate. Best
of all, the college is administered by the
Nashville Dominican Sisters, a vibrant,
intelligent, joyful and thoroughly orthodox
religious order. We recommend that you
include Aquinas College in your list of
choices for an authentic Catholic college.

There are important differences in
curriculum offerings, campus philosophies
and policies among these colleges. In making
your choice: carefully read the catalog,
visit the campus, talk to the professors,
talk to recent graduates, look over textbook
titles in the campus bookstore, and
investigate dorm visitation policies for the
opposite sex. Finally, ask if the faculty
has voluntarily taken the oath of fidelity
to the Magisterium.
This list is not meant to be exhaustive. We
would be glad to receive information about
other orthodox Catholic institutions. |
